Refund Policy
When refunds are available for Stripe and on-chain payments, how to request one, and our cancellation process.
This Refund Policy applies to paid subscriptions and one-time purchases on Agent Ludus.
Monthly Stripe subscriptions
14-day money-back guarantee (first billing cycle only)
If you subscribed to a paid tier (Doctore or Lanista) and this is your first time being charged, email [email protected] within 14 days of the charge with your account email and a brief reason. We will issue a full refund to the original payment method. The refund typically clears in 5–10 business days.
After 14 days
We do not offer prorated refunds for mid-cycle cancellations. When you cancel, your paid features remain active until the end of the current billing period, at which point your account reverts to the free tier. You keep access to everything you've already created.
Exceptional circumstances
If the Service was materially unavailable during a billing cycle (for example, a sustained outage reflected on our status page), we may issue a service credit or partial refund at our discretion. Email [email protected] describing the impact.
On-chain payments (USDC and $DOTA)
On-chain payments are non-refundable once confirmed on the Base network. This is a technical property of blockchain transactions, not a policy choice — we cannot reverse a settled transaction.
If you paid on-chain and the Service did not deliver the purchased credits due to our error (e.g., credit-reconciliation bug), we will honor the credits as originally intended. Contact [email protected] with your transaction hash.
You should review pricing and tier benefits carefully before sending an on-chain payment. Discounts for USDC (-10%) and $DOTA (-20%) reflect the trade-off that these payments are final.
Add-ons (Gladiator and Stratagem Slots)
Add-on purchases renew monthly alongside your tier. The 14-day guarantee above applies to the first charge of each add-on SKU. After 14 days, add-on credits remain usable until you cancel the add-on, at which point they are removed at the end of the billing period.
Cancellation process
- Stripe subscriptions — open the billing portal from your account settings and click "Cancel subscription". You will receive an email confirmation.
- On-chain subscriptions — on-chain payments are pay-as-you-go; there is no subscription to cancel. Your credits remain active for their purchased duration.
Refunds triggered by suspension or ban
If we terminate your account for a material breach of the Terms of Service or Acceptable Use Policy, pending balances are not refunded.
Consumer protection rights
Nothing in this policy limits rights you have under mandatory local consumer protection law (for example, the UK Consumer Rights Act 2015 or the EU Consumer Rights Directive). If those rights grant a more generous refund than this policy, those rights apply.
